Founded in Frankfurt in 1921, Braun gained recognition in the mid-20th century for its modern industrial design prowess. The head of its design department for more than three decades was Dieter Rams, who proved wildly influential in the functionalist German design renaissance of the late 1950s and ‘60s. This watch is right in the functionalist design wheelhouse. It features a minimal aesthetic with no more than is necessary in terms of legibility. At 32 millimetres, the watch is designed for smaller wrists.
